Blizzard Part 2

Jake shoveled for 4 hours today just to make a path from the garage to the front door and from there to the mail box. He also shoveled the sidewalk until the shovel wouldn't move anymore. I don't know how he did it but this is the path from the garage to the sidewalk. I don't think any of us are leaving the house tomorrow.

Holiday Blizzard 2006

Here are a couple of the pictures from our little Holiday Blizzard. We have about 24 inches of snow according to the news. The wind was so bad that there are places in the street and in our backyard that don't have any snow but then we have 4-6 ft drifts. It's actually still snowing right now but the wind has calmed down quite a bit. Jake is out trying to dig my car out of the little snow cave it's in.

Christmas Kiddos

We had a Christmas party for Jake's family on Tuesday. It was great to hang out with everyone and to see the kids playing together.

Better Late Than Never

Last night we finally put our brand new Christmas tree and some of our decorations. Don't ask me what has taken us so long because I honestly don't know. This was pretty fun complete with Johnny Mathis Christmas music and hot chocolate (even in the sippy cup.) Isabella even put all of her ornaments up herself, all in the same place. Isabella even had a great time playing with the packing cardboard that came with the tree, she put it on and called herself Princess Bella.

I finally made a sauce that I loved, only I didn't make enough. Oh well. The girls loved it too and Bella asked for seconds!

A Wonderful Christmas Gift

For Christmas this year my Mom bought my sisters and I (and Jake) dinner at the Chop House and concert tickets to see Andrea Bocelli. She also hired a limo to take us everywhere, which was amazing. We had wonderful food and great conversation at dinner and then settled in for an heart warming concert at the Pepsi Center. Andrea Bocelli was one of my Dad's favorites and we all enjoy him as well. The concert was fun, exciting and also very sad. We made it through 90% of the concert tear free, the encore had us all sobbing (with a little help from a slide show from Jackie) and we were all looking for tissues at the final bows. We can't thank my Mom enough for a wonderful Christmas present and a night we will never forget.

Giuliana's New Coat

I know I haven't posted in a while but in my defense I had the a bad stomach bug for 3 days last week and the girls and I really didn't go anywhere. Today we had a Hoban Girls Day Out. We went to the Flat Irons Mall and had a nice lunch, then we went and got Bella some new shoes and Giuliana a new coat. Isabella napped for such a long time that Giuliana started playing around and I snapped pictures of her in the new coat (half price at Old Navy!) The best part that you can't see in these photos was that she couldn't move, it was so funny! This coat was a lot bigger (heavier) than I wanted but it's the only one I could find in her size.
